We are excited to share our latest partnership program, now available to Cochrane and area businesses that serve a tourist audience. There are three available options based on your business type. Tourism partner and marketing partnership benefits at a discounted rate for not-for-profits, societies, and charities offering tourism activities or events.

Eligibility: Must be a registered not-for-profit society or charity.

As a Cochrane Tourism Marketing Partner, you will have the opportunity to work with us on a variety of initiatives as we implement our marketing strategy. We do things like:

Themed Itineraries – featuring our Marketing Partners Activities/Event/Offerings

Cochrane Tourism contracts professional writers, photographers, videographers, drone pilots, and a communication team to highlight Cochrane’s distinct character through: 

✔ No charge to Marketing Partners – content is co-funded through Travel Alberta

✔ Video content selection through an application process

✔ All content must meet CTA Brand Guidelines

 

TOURISM PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

The Tourism Product Mentorship Program is being developed by Cochrane Tourism to build the rural tourism market.  2020 will see the development and pilot of this program with the first intake in the fall of 2021.  Tourism Marketing Partners can enroll in the program which will provide:

✔ A hands-on training program that will support businesses in developing new tourism experiences or products that can expand their business.

✔ Administration and marketing of the products to tourists through a new web tool that will integrate with the Cochrane Tourism website.

✔ Support from other organizations like Travel Alberta and Economic Development, Trade and Tourism

✔ No charge for Marketing Partners – grant-funded through CARES.

Cochrane Tourism provides exposure and connects you with visitors through:

✔ Event Promotion Partnerships (eg. Explore Cochrane, Dine Out Cochrane)

✔ Featured Events – Event Promotion/Website Feature

✔ Other projects – Dining Guide, Wellness Guide, Trail Map

✔ Partnership Opportunity – Trade Shows (Calgary Outdoor Show, Canada West)

✔ Visitor Guide Publication – the 2020 guide will be distributed throughout 2021
