The Paisley Boutique
Cochrane’s original women’s boutique in the Cochrane Town Square (Safeway Mall) has been dressing clients for success since 2010. Celebrating The Paisley Boutique’s 10th anniversary turned into reinventing the way they do business, as became necessary for so many of our local enterprises.
Owner Laurel Pasishnik already had a fledgling online store so she set about getting as much of her hallmark contemporary fashions and accessories online as possible. “Before we knew it, our local community and people from all across Canada responded to the expanded version and the orders started rolling in,” said Laurel. “We had customers calling and emailing, asking for gift cards to purchase over the phone, and telling us they were going to order at least every month to help us keep going until we could reopen,” she added. “We definitely felt the love and support and are so very grateful for it.” Happily, the boutique is now open seven days a week. Capacity is limited and health and safety measures are in place but private shopping appointments can be arranged if you are more comfortable.
Virtual Fashion Show in 2020
2020 also marks the eighth annual Paisley Boutique Fashion Show, but in keeping with the times, this one will be virtual. The date is set for October 23, (the shop’s exact 10th anniversary) and tickets can be purchased online for $5 per person. Everyone who buys a ticket will be entered into a draw for a $1,000 gift certificate. All proceeds will go the Cochrane Activettes to help them continue their good work helping the less fortunate.
“We count our blessings that we’ve managed to survive and just want to give back to those in our community who may be struggling,” said Laurel. “And why not do it by what we know best? Showcasing all the latest fashion trends is a great way to lift the spirits and help others at the same time.”
